This cyber core training education package has been designed specifically for the charity sector, and is endorsed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
This will be jointly presented by the Scottish Government Workplace Learning Coordinator and the Cyber Resilience Coordinator from Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).
The training session will cover the key cyber fundamentals for charities amongst other things,
Why charities are at risk from the cyber threat?
How charities can mitigate and better protect themselves?
Key cyber resources, materials and advice from trusted partners,
Ongoing access to support in the sector,
An interactive cyber attack and defence session.
The aim of this session is to provide individuals with basic cyber knowledge to take steps to better protect themselves and their organisation and, in turn, help build third sector capacity and capability.
All participants will receive the cyber core training education package slides post event, which they may personalise to deliver their own sessions to staff, volunteers, members, etc.
This training session has been designed by the NCSC in conjunction with the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA) in England.
