Phishing represents a high risk activity for the Council, and it’s important staff can recognise attempted phishing activity and respond appropriately to a worst case scenario.
A group of staff from across all service areas will meet to carry out a table top training exercise on how to deal with phishing.
The event will make use of the National Cyber Security Centre resources from ‘Exercise In A Box’, developed to help agencies ensure staff are equipped to respond to cyber threats.
East Lothian Council use a regular staff forum to share and discuss the current threat landscape, and share best practices. These meetings form part of our ongoing Information Security arrangements.
