Cyber Crime Awareness In Orkney – NorthLink Ferries, Police Scotland

As part of Cyber Scotland Week 2019 NorthLink Ferries are hosting a Cyber Crime awareness briefing presented by Police Scotland.

Every business and individual is at risk of a cybercrime or being a victim of a cyber-attack. More than £400,000 has left the Orkney economy through cyber related crime in the last year. Criminals are actively targeting Orkney residents and businesses and it is estimated that 90% of successful attacks can be traced back to human errors. Join this awareness session if you’d like to know more about the types of activities that criminals are targeting Orcadians with and gain some insight into how you can protect yourself or your business.

Please join us aboard the MV Hamnavoe for this (20 minute) presentation and Q&A session hosted by Constable Simon Hay, Preventions and Interventions, North Divison, Police Scotland and Robert Smith, Contract Compliance Manager for NorthLink Ferries and Scottish Government Private Sector Cyber Security Working group representative.
